A seminar for all students writing a dissertation within the field of health law will be held 27 September 2017. The program will consist of lectures by prominent scholars within the field and discussions of the participants’ projects.
The seminar is open to all PhD students within the field of health law. Participants can apply for a scholarship of 6000 NOK (EUR 625). The scholarships are funded by the public law foundation in remembrance of Arvid Frihagen and will cover accommodation and conference fee and subsidize the travel expenses. Ten such scholarships are available. Applications for funding are to be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org within 1 April 2017. There is no required form, but please write an email with an attachment where you include:
- a short project description (1/2-1 page)
- the status of the project (which institution the PhD student is affiliated with and planned progress)
- if the applicant is willing to submit a draft text of the thesis for the seminar
All applicants will be informed about the outcome of the selection process in the beginning of April. All applicants may attend the PhD seminar, but only the selected applicants will receive funding from the foundation. Those willing to submit a draft text from their thesis (maximum 15 pages) must do so within 1 September. The submitted texts will be circulated to the other participants and discussed during the seminar.
Participation at the seminar and the following conference will be given 2 ECTS credits.
